Wrong for California

In 2012 and 2014 voters across California sent 12 targeted Republican Congressional incumbents and challengers packing. In 2016, California Republican House members and candidates are running on the Trump ticket, and we're not giving them a free ride. If we're going to take back the House and end the Tea Party's divisive rule, it has to start by defeating extreme Republicans right here in California.

Jeff Denham in Spotlight Again Over Grand Opening of Donald Trump Hotel

Today Donald Trump is taking a break from his sinking presidential campaign to appear at the grand opening of his latest get-rich luxury hotel property in Washington, D.C.

Caught in the spotlight is California Congressman Jeff Denham, who called the Trump hotel “one of the projects that has been important to me” and posed for a picture with Trump.

Facing strong Democratic challenger Michael Eggman and Trump’s falling popularity, Denham now is losing ground over his support of Trump, which cost him the endorsement of his hometown newspaper.

This week the Cook Political Report rated the Eggman-Denham race a “toss-up” that could flip to Democrats.

The California Democratic Party has released a mailer tying Denham to the Trump hotel project.

“The Trump hotel is just another example of how Jeff Denham has stood with Trump instead of Valley families,” said Michael Soller, California Democratic Party Communications Director.  “Valley voters need a candidate who will support our local economy and oppose Trump’s anti-woman, anti-immigrant vision, and that is Michael Eggman.”
