Wrong for California

In 2012 and 2014 voters across California sent 12 targeted Republican Congressional incumbents and challengers packing. In 2016, California Republican House members and candidates are running on the Trump ticket, and we're not giving them a free ride. If we're going to take back the House and end the Tea Party's divisive rule, it has to start by defeating extreme Republicans right here in California.

Silence as Trump Slurs Gold Star Parents

Republicans are backing away from Donald Trump after he belittled the grief-stricken mother of a Muslim-American officer who died protecting his unit from a suicide bomber in Iraq.

So why are so many California Republican congressional candidates STILL silent on Trump’s comments smearing a Gold Star family -- nearly a week later?

Refusing to condemn Donald Trump:

  • Scott Jones (CA-07)
  • Rep. Jeff Denham (CA-10)
  • Rep. David Valadao (CA-21)
  • Justin Fareed (CA-24)
  • Rep. Darrell Issa (CA-49)

It's not the first time Trump has dismissed the sacrifices of veterans and their families. Trump denounced Senator and Vietnam POW John McCain, saying "I like people that weren't captured."

If these Republicans can't stand up to Trump, how will they stand up for Californians in Congress?
